E.T. and Elliott meet again after 37 years

Many fans would like a sequel to Steven Spielberg's "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial". Now there is at least a brief reunion of the alien with his friend Elliott.

The end of Steven Spielberg's classic "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial" from 1982 is associated with beautiful, but also sad memories: After saying goodbye to the family and his best friend Elliott, the amiable alien E.T. a spaceship and flies away - probably forever. To this day, the science fiction adventure is one of the most successful films of all time. The fans had to wait a long time for a reunion, for example in a possible sequel - until now.

There is still no cinema sequel, but a warm reunion between E.T. and Elliott: Just in time for Christmas, the US telecommunications company Xfinity Cable Television E.T. back down to earth to his friend in a 4-minute commercial. 37 years after "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial", Elliot, who is played again by Henry Jackson Thomas (last seen in the Netflix series "Spuk in Hill House"), is now a proud family man. He lives with his wife and two children in the same house as they did in the early 1980s.

E.T. There he gets to know the 21st century: he watches films with his family on the flat screen TV, plays a VR game, Elliot's son shows him the Internet and he spends the Christmas season with his old friend's family. At the end of the clip, however, the alien is drawn back home. Once again it is time to say goodbye - but of course not without a trip by bike.
