Drum roll with aftermath

In 1994, the year Deutsche Bahn was founded, the last "Taiga drums" of the former DR series V 200 and 120 quit their service. After that, however, a number of machines made decisive contributions to German private railways. Today the legendary diesel locomotives are only active in neighboring Poland. We look back on the career of the "Taiga drums" on German tracks and shed light on the now enormous variety of model replicas from 1 to Z.
