Study subjects and courses at the University of Cologne without NC

A few courses or subjects are currently not subject to admission restrictions. Whether a subject is subject to an NC is noted in the subject overview (see courses> Subject overview (undergraduate degree)> Total, admission: "without NC"). Register for these courses of study or subjects via the online portal KLIPS 2.0.

For courses / subjects without an NC, it may be necessary to take part in an online self-assessment ("OSA") or to pass an aptitude test ("EP") and / or combine it with a compulsory area of ​​the course with an NC ("KP") .

Participation in the online self-assessment (OSA):
For some courses, participation in a self-assessment, which is carried out online, is required. You will receive more information about this in the application phase from the student secretariat. You will need the resulting certificate of participation at the latest for enrollment - without a certificate of participation, there will be no enrollment for these courses.

Aptitude test (EP):
For the courses marked in this way, proof of a passed aptitude test must be provided upon enrollment. Information is provided by the responsible departments, please also note the deadlines for the proficiency tests. You will need the proof of suitability at the latest for enrollment - without proof of suitability, there will be no enrollment for these courses of study.

Compulsory combination (CP):
Combinations of subjects are prescribed for all teacher training courses. Subjects without an NC must always be combined at the University of Cologne with another part of the course (subject / learning area / specialization focus) that is subject to an NC. You can only enroll if you have been admitted to the compulsory part through a selection process or if you are already enrolled in the compulsory subject. In addition, if necessary, proof of participation in the online self-assessment or a passed aptitude test must be provided.

In order for you to be able to enroll in an admission-free course, you must register online in the KLIPS 2.0 portal in due time. required. Separate deadlines apply for this, which the Student Administration Office announces for each semester in the current schedule.
