Training despite Corona: Improve the technique in your own training at home

According to the usual procedures, the trainers would probably have expected new units of DFB training online for all age groups at this point today. But in times of the corona crisis, the population is encouraged to stay at home if possible and to minimize social contacts. All sports facilities are closed! In order to be able to exercise sensibly and keep fit during these times, we present suitable exercises and games for self-training in a multi-part series. Today we start with exercises and games to improve technical skills.

'Challenges' for training at home

Extraordinary situations require extraordinary measures! Who does not know that: The moment the players sit at home without training, they get bored! The team groups in the social networks are currently overflowing with satirical considerations of the 'state of emergency'. They could make better use of them and, for example, post home training challenges that the trainer asked beforehand! These must of course be individually tailored to the respective age and performance classes.

The trainers are therefore in demand: There are plenty of suitable homework programs in the 'Training & Service' range. According to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, many of them can also be carried out alone or at most in pairs. We present suitable tasks for specific age groups. In the first part of our series we devote ourselves to improving technical skills.

Dribble, pass and shoot at creative targets

"Dribbling, passing, shooting - you need an opponent for that !?" We can partly disagree: Because just because there are no opponents or teammates available, this is by no means an excuse not to do anything. Anyone who is creative is sure to find a suitable substitute: Dribbling around different objects is just as possible, passing and shooting also works against different walls or at different targets. Of course, you should only pay attention to panes and windows so that in addition to the restrictions of the corona crisis, something does not break!
