Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me) is a 1986 Samantha Fox song written by Graham Richardson and Mike Bissell. It appeared on the album Touch me.

history

The hard rock-synth rock title was released as the second single of their debut album and was particularly successful in Europe, where the song coincided with the success of the number one hit Touch Me (I Want Your Body) keep up. The song became a top ten hit in the UK, Germany and Switzerland and even a number one hit in Sweden. In addition, Samantha broke herself off the top in Sweden so that was Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me) right after Touch Me (I Want Your Body) a number one hit. The lyrics mock the listener with lines like “Are you strong enough?” And “I could get you underneath my thumb.” Fox sang the song in an episode of Top of the Pops in 1986 and the song is still part of her live repertoire to this day .[2]

The song was recorded at Battery Studios in London. On the B-side of the single, the songs appeared depending on where they were published Drop me a line, Want You To Want Me, or Never Gonna Fall In Love Again.
