Which apps need serious overhaul or improvement

Google Photos FINALLY has a less terrible share menu on Android, but there is still room for improvement

With the last Android versions, Google had significantly revised and improved the operating system's share menu. At the same time, however, it was noticed that apps from Google, of all things, do not always use the Android system function. The Android app for Google Photos, for example, has its own parts menu, which was much worse structured. To reach other apps, you had to scroll horizontally through a list, sometimes forever.

Google Photos share menu is defused

In the last few days, Google doesn't seem to have removed its own parts menu, but at least revised it. If you can't find the app you want right away, you can use the “More” button to open the system's share menu and scroll through your own apps with much more comfort. Google would still have to do it again, the delay is a bit long before the corresponding menu opens.

There is still work to be done

It also annoys me that Google Photos always only offers me the Google contacts first, and I send it directly to WhatsApp contacts much more often. Actually, in my opinion, Google can completely remove the share menu from Google Photos and use that from the system. At least it would definitely do my application scenario good. Or the sharing menu becomes smarter and can distinguish itself whether the user would rather send to a chat app or Google contacts.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure whether the change described above needed a fresh app update. But it should certainly not hurt you to have the latest version of Google Photos installed on your device.
