A.R.M.Y (BTS fans)

"A.R.M.Y" or "ARMY" stands for "Adorable Representative M.C for Youth". "M.C." stands for "Military Committee" and comes from the English military language. (Each fandom of a K-pop band usually has its own name.) A.R.M.Y (아미) is the worldwide and official name of the BTS fan club and all BTS fans. It was founded on July 9, 2013. The name ARMY of BTS fandom is associated with the English word for the military.

The new 2017 logo of the band BTS is, so to speak, the counterpart of the logo of their fandom. When the two symbols are together they look like a military shield. Both logos together can protect BTS and ARMY. The two logos have to stay together forever. If the two symbols are separated from each other, then BTS and ARMY can no longer protect each other.

The color of BTS's fandom is purple.

V said the infamous saying "보라 해" (Borahae, I purple you) to fans during a concert. Purple = purple. This phrase, as well as the color purple itself, have great meaning and have become a trademark of BTS / ARMY. Purple is seen as a color that indicates enduring trust, love, and affection.
