More questions and answers

In principle, you are free to apply to different universities. Please note, however, that the conditions for admission can vary. However, admission may only take place at one university (Section 63 (8) UG 2002).

Your application is independent of your registration for further studies. Note the respective deadlines and requirements.

A Matura or university entrance qualification is not required for the Studien-VorR phase. For admission to the course, on the other hand, you need a completed pre-study phase and either a high school diploma or a university entrance qualification! More detailed information on admission can be found on the admission pages, opens in a new window.

A completed pre-study phase is valid for 6 semesters, subject to a general change in the admission requirements.

If you are or have already been admitted to a degree in technical mathematics at the TU Wien, you do not have to do a pre-study phase, but can continue to register.

You will be treated the same as someone who has not yet studied. That means you have to take part in the study pre-registration phase in order to receive a study place.

Please inquire immediately with the studies department about the additional procedural steps required. Note the longer processing times.
