What is the opposite sign of Taurus

Basic knowledge

The axes in the horoscope

The horoscope can be divided into six axes by combining the signs of the zodiac or houses that are opposite each other under a uniform point of view. I differentiate between the following axes:

Initiative axis

(Aries / Libra or houses 1/7)

Mounting axis

(Taurus / Scorpio or houses 2/8)

Change axis

(Gemini / Sagittarius or Houses 3/9)

Normalization axis

(Cancer / Capricorn or houses 4/10)

Creativity axis

(Leo / Aquarius or houses 5/11)

Service axis

(Virgo / Pisces or houses 6/12)

The opposite signs of an axis always show two opposite possibilities of how the relevant topic can be lived, whereby only the balance between both poles enables life in its entirety. Axes 1, 3 and 5 have a yang character, axes 2, 4 and 6 have a yin character.

1. Initiative axis

Aries (1st house):

The initiative is self-related, i.e. alone and combative and with courage and bravery.

Libra (7th house):

The initiative is related to you, i.e. together with other people and with a willingness to compromise and pleasant manners.

2. Mounting axis

Taurus (2nd house):

The respective value is fixed by persistent collecting as extensive substance (talent) in the breadth of the personality.

Taurus is the sign of quantity.

Scorpio (8th house):

The respective value is fixed as an exclusive good in the depth of the personality through an emotional bond (love).

Scorpio is the sign of quality.

3rd axis of change

Twins (3rd house):

The change is achieved through good observation and a willingness to communicate.

Sagittarius (9th house):

The change is achieved through an inner restlessness and the willingness to search.

4th normalization axis

Cancer (4th house):

The normalization takes place from the feeling in the familiar close range and creates concrete behaviors.

The norm is internalized (conscience).

Capricorn (10th house):

In principle, standardization takes place in public and creates permanent structures.

The norm is institutionalized (law).

5th axis of creativity

Leo (5th house):

The creative achievement happens in the system.

A lion creates a given role.

(concentric creativity = design)

Aquarius (11th house):

The creative achievement happens against a system.

An Aquarius looks for invention and change.

(eccentric creativity = invention)

6th service axis

Jungfrau (6th house):

The service is performed out of the impression of one's own inadequacy. (Inferiority problem)

Man is constantly striving to improve his personality. (Competence)

Pisces (12th house):

Devotion comes from the impression of the world's inadequacy. (World Pain)

Man dreams of a better world and surrenders his person to a higher order. (Self-sacrifice)

If the corresponding energies are lived negatively (this is always the exaggeration of the healthy form), the axes could be described as follows:

Unexpected axis

(Aries / Libra or houses 1/7)

Axis of inertia

(Taurus / Scorpio or houses 2/8)

Unrest axis

(Gemini / Sagittarius or Houses 3/9)

Suppression axis

(Cancer / Capricorn or houses 4/10)

Self-importance axis

(Leo / Aquarius or houses 5/11)

Savior axis

(Virgo / Pisces or Houses 6/12)

The attachment axis (Taurus / Scorpio or houses 2/8) has the ability to store the parts of reality that are really important to a person (see the article The basic values). It thus determines the basis of a personality. The other energies of a horoscope are based on this axis.

An axis is often lived negatively when the energies involved are under tension. This is the case, for example, if the character of the houses does not match the signs of the zodiac in the houses, if planetary energies (including the lunar node axis and the sensitive points Lilith and Priapus) are in a tension aspect (square, half square, one and a half square) to the respective axis and when the planetary energies that constitute the axis do not match one another in terms of the element.

The Aquarian energy of the self-importance axis constitutes (together with the yang and yin energies of the zodiac) the neurotic life roles of persecutor and chaot, the Pisces energy of the savior axis constitutes (together with the yang and yin energies of the Zodiac) the roles of savior and sacrifice. The energies of the other axes give more precise determinations to the neurotic life roles.

In the course of life, the person tries to get out of the neurotic life roles and to find a way into the center in order to be able to live the energies of his horoscope in a balanced way. At the same time, however, it is necessary for him to transpose his value system onto an internalized level of manifestation.
