Which is the best website for job search
The ten best job boards
StepStone - The most popular
The established online job exchange StepStone has been listing job offers on the Internet since 1996. Here you can either search for job title, company or location and find the best offer out of an average of 50,000 vacancies. With around nine to ten million visitors per month, StepStone is way ahead among German job seekers. In addition to job offers, StepStone offers tips for applicants, templates for résumés and salary statistics.
Monster.de - The International
Monster was launched in 1994 in the United States as one of the first online job search portals. There are now offshoots all over the world. Job placement works like StepStone. Monster lists suitable jobs, and the portal directs job seekers to the respective company to apply.
Glassdoor - The banners
The job community Glassdoor has just started in Germany. Here employees write how much they like it in their company, how the interviews are going and how high the salaries are. In this way, Glassdoor wants to create a whole new level of transparency on the job market. So the job exchange is only part of a larger project here.
Jobspotting - the start-up
The Berliners have just launched their platform. Jobspotting is limited to IT and marketing jobs because this is where the market is largest. The job offers come from StepStone and the company's career pages, among others. The new approach: Job seekers enter their skills and Jobspotting looks for the right offers from around 200,000 jobs - better tailored to the applicant.
Truffls - The tinder of the job boards
Like Jobspotting, the start-up Truffls relies on a new technology: after specifying job wishes and own skills, the app gradually suggests suitable jobs - including a brief description. If you don't like an offer, swipe left. Similar offers then no longer appear. If you swipe to the right, you can view more detailed job details and apply. The app will then increasingly suggest similar offers in the future.
Indeed - The largest job exchange in the world
When it comes to Google Analytics, it is indeed the job exchange with the most visitors worldwide. About 150 million job seekers cavort on the site. The German offshoot primarily collects offers from the company's career websites and is therefore Google-style. That's not nice, but maybe the right job is there and that's what counts.
Kimeta - everything at a glance
The Über-Jobbörse, that's what Kimeta would like to be. According to its own information, the site offers over 1.7 million job offers. They come from all other job exchanges and from the company's career websites. Unfortunately, the search does not work exactly.
Jobscout 24 - The best domain
You can now find Jobscout24 under the Jobs.de domain. Contrary to what the name suggests, the job exchange is no longer part of the Scout24 group (Autoscout24 / Immobilienscout24), and CareerBuilder took over the offer in 2011. The site is the market leader in the USA and also operates its own site in Germany, but with the identical offers from Jobscout24. According to its own information, the site lists over 250,000 job offers.
Jobrapido - Italian whiz kid
The job exchange Jobrapido comes from Milan and lists offers from all over the world. The German branch shows results from Monster, StepStone and other job exchanges. So if you want the results of the two big players in a list, look at Jobrapido.
Xing - the social job exchange
Xing offers its members their own job exchange. The advantage: Since you have already provided information about your skills, the network will suggest suitable jobs for you. Xing members also rated companies. A nice service: the network arranges job offers according to family-friendliness or competence in the environmental sector. However, you have to register with Xing in order to send an application. Competitor Linkedin offers a similar service.
