SurveyMonkey extension for Zoho CRM

SurveyMonkey is a survey platform on which you can create simple to complex surveys and analyze valuable answers. This extension helps you to integrate those surveys and survey responses into your Zoho CRM account and assign them to CRM contacts. The surveys are added as campaigns and the contacts can be synchronized one way from SurveyMonkey to Zoho CRM or bidirectional. In addition, you can send surveys to your contacts from Zoho CRM.

Install SurveyMonkey

Installing the extension and authenticating it with your SurveyMonkey credentials is the first step. The polls and contacts can then be synchronized. After installation, three modules are created: SurveyMonkey, SurveyMonkey details and SurveyMonkey Responses. You can either go to the Zoho Marketplace and install the SurveyMonkey extension or log in to your Zoho CRM account and install it.

How to install the SurveyMonkey extension

  1. Go to Set up > Marketplace> All.
  2. All installed extensions are listed. Under All extensions you can view all extensions supported by CRM.
  3. click on All extensions, Are you looking for SurveyMonkeyand click on it.
    The details about the extension are displayed.
  4. click on Install now.
  5. In the following screen, accept the terms of use and click on Continue, to install.
  6. Select one of the following options and click To confirm.
    • Install for admin only - The extension is only installed in CRM for users with the Administrator profile.
    • Installation for all users - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users. Users must have a SurveyMonkey account to use this feature.
    • Select profiles - The extension will be installed in CRM for all users. You need to select this option, click Further and then select the profile
      The extension is automatically installed for the specified users. Once installed, you'll need to consent to your SurveyMonkey credentials being used.
  7. click on Authorize.
    If you are in this step Skip you can click later via Settings> Setup> Marketplace> Allow All.
    On the detail page of the SurveyMonkey-Extension you can click on Allow click.
  8. In the pop-up window enter the E-mail address and the password for the SurveyMonkey account and click Log In.
  9. Check the permissions and click "Authorize".
    The account is approved and the extension can be used.

Set options for syncing and mapping surveys

After the installation you can synchronize the contacts and surveys. Surveys can be retrieved from SurveyMonkey, while contacts can be synchronized in both directions. The surveys are listed on the SurveyMonkey tab. These surveys can be selected and assigned to the "Campaigns" tab, where they are created as campaigns.

How to assign surveys

  1. Navigate to the tab SurveyMonkey.
  2. Select the surveys you want to assign and click on Map with Zoho CRM.
    The new surveys will be created as campaigns in Zoho CRM and the existing surveys will be updated.

Here's how to set up the options for syncing

  1. Navigate to the tab SurveyMonkey.
  2. click on Synchronization settings.
    You have the option of synchronizing the contacts either unidirectionally or bidirectionally.
  3. Choose unidirectional or bidirectional Synchronization.
  4. In the option Participants synchronize with choose Leads or contacts.
    The contacts in SurveyMonkey are synced as either leads or contacts in Zoho CRM.
  5. click on Sync now.

View imported surveys and survey responses

How to view imported surveys

  1. Navigate to the tab SurveyMonkey details.
    The surveys retrieved from SurveyMonkey are displayed.
  2. Click on a poll. You can do the following:
    • Add notes.
    • Upload attachments or add links.
    • Plan events, calls and tasks.
    • Send emails.
    • Show responses to surveys in the appropriate lists.

How to view detailed responses to surveys

  1. Navigate to the tab SurveyMonkey answer.
  2. Click on one Name of an answer. You can do the following:
    • Add notes.
    • Upload attachments or add links.
    • Plan events, calls and tasks.
    • Send emails.

Send SurveyMonkey surveys from Zoho CRM

The surveys you can create in SurveyMonkey can be sent to the contacts in your Zoho CRM account.

How to submit a SurveyMonkey survey from Zoho CRM

  1. Click on the module Leads / Accounts / Contacts.
  2. Select the data record for which the survey should be sent.
  3. click on surveysend.
  4. In the pop-up window, do the following:
  5. Select one from the drop-down list
  6. survey
  7. out.
    All surveys from SurveyMonkey are listed here.
  8. Select with the option Add recipient the contacts to whom the survey should be sent.
  9. Give a Subject line for the email to be sent with the survey.
  10. click on Send.
  11. Alternatively, you can send the survey to several data sets at once by clicking the button on the start page of the module Send survey click.
    This button only stands for the module Leads and Contacts to disposal.
  12. Select the appropriate check boxes for the records. The survey will be sent to these leads / contacts.
  13. Click the button Send survey and perform the procedure from step 4.

Uninstall SurveyMonkey

If you want to uninstall this extension, we would like to point out that during the uninstallation all data can be deleted and cannot be restored.

How to uninstall SurveyMonkey

  1. Navigate to Set up > Marketplace> All > Installed extension.
  2. Find the extension SurveyMonkey and click on Uninstall.
  3. click onOKto confirm the uninstallation.
  4. The extension will be uninstalled.
