You need passport stamps

Second pass

Do you travel a lot - for example professionally? Then you can apply for a second Dutch passport.
A second pass is valid for two years.

When do you need a second passport?

A second passport may be required in the following situations:

  • You travel to many different countries. There may be times when your first passport contains stamps from countries that are in conflict with countries you are about to visit. This can lead to problems when entering these countries. You can check the list of conflicting countries to see which countries are in conflict with each other.
  • You regularly travel to countries for which you need a visa. If your passport is already at an embassy when you apply for a visa, you can travel with your second passport or apply for a visa for another country.
