That is an increase of 23.9 percent within a year. 2.327 million of these customers belong to the core branch of Drillisch AG, the MVNO business. In this segment, the provider added 512,000 customers within one year. Drillisch also differentiates between volume participants, who are billed according to actual consumption, and budget participants, e.g. flat rate customers. While the number of volume participants decreased by 94,000 to 698,000 participants, the number of budget participants rose by 59.2 percent or 606,000 participants to 1.629 million. From Drillisch's point of view, the budget participants are significantly more profitable.

Sales increased by a total of 111.8 million euros to 253.6 million euros. While the growth in the first quarter was mainly due to the increased customer base, in the second quarter, according to Drillisch, the switching and hardware sales of The Phone House Deutschland Group, which was acquired at the beginning of May, also had a positive impact, especially in other sales. which have increased by 51.1 million to 53.3 million euros. The service turnover also increased very significantly compared to the same period of the previous year by 60.7 million to 200.3 million euros.

Customers bring more income on average

Drillisch also increased sales per customer within a year - not least due to the all-network flat rate. The average gross profit per customer (AGPPU) was last EUR 7.38, a year ago it was EUR 6.49.

Drillisch AG sees itself in an excellent market position, which is related to the position it has now assumed as an MBA MVNO (Mobile Bitstream Access MVNO) and "the very good development of operational business in the first half of the year". Thus, according to the press release, the Management Board is "looking to the future with confidence and is planning a further increase in the MVNO customer base in 2015 and 2016 and thus a continuation of the positive earnings trend in the operative business". For 2015, adjusted EBITDA is expected to be at the upper end of the already forecast range of 95 to 100 million euros. For the 2016 financial year, the Management Board expects a further increase in adjusted EBITDA to between EUR 115 million and EUR 120 million.
